The National Pulmonary Hypertension Unit is open from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. All appointments should be made in advance.

In the case that you cannot attend, please let us know by contacting the pulmonary hypertension unit on 01 8034420, so that we can reschedule your appointment and offer this visit to another person.

The Mater Hospital

The Mater Hospital Website provides detailed information on the best ways to make your way to the mater campus, whether it be by car, bus, bike, train or luas. They also have a useful ‘Way finding tool’ that you can use to search for details on how to find your way within the hospital campus (which is quite big). 

The two locations that you might meet the Pulmonary Hypertension Team are clinic 1, in the Whitty wing of the hospital and The Centre for Lung Health, which is located at 56 Eccles street, across from the main Eccles street entrance.

Clinic 1

  • Clinic 1 is located in the Whitty Wing, Level 1.
  • The best entrance to use is the Whitty entrance. When you enter, take the escalator or the A-Lifts up to Level 1. Continue down Hospital Street (the main corridor). Take the first right and continue to arrive at Clinic 1.
  • If you are coming from the car park: Take the A-Lifts up to Level 1. Exit the lifts. Continue down Hospital Street (the main corridor). Take the first right and continue to arrive at Clinic 1.

Centre for Lung Health – 56 Eccles Street

If coming from the car park: Take the A lift up to Level 1. Turn right when you come out of the lift. Walk to the end of Hospital Street (the main corridor). Turn right to enter the McGivney Wing. Exit left out onto Eccles Street. Turn left, cross the road and continue walking to 56 Eccles Street.
