The past two weeks have been incredibly important for raising awareness of Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) and continuing to build support and connection within the PH community.
On World PH Day, we hosted an awareness stand in the Mater Hospital where we had the opportunity to speak with healthcare workers, patients, families and visitors about Pulmonary Hypertension. There was huge interest throughout the day, with many people stopping by the stand to learn more about PH, ask questions and hear about the experiences of people living with the condition. Events like this are so important in helping improve awareness, recognition and understanding of PH across both healthcare settings and the wider community.

On the 15th May, we also held our Online PH Community Forum for patients, carers and family members. The session brought together healthcare professionals, guest speakers and members of the PH community to discuss topics including physical activity, psychological wellbeing, research updates, treatments and patient support. It was fantastic to see such engagement, thoughtful questions and shared experiences throughout the event.

Raising awareness of Pulmonary Hypertension remains critically important. Earlier recognition, increased understanding, improved support networks and continued advocacy can make a real difference to the lives of those living with PH and their families.
A sincere thank you to everyone who supported, attended and helped share these events especially the Mater PH Team!
